The Vales

The Verdant Vale

The Verdant Vale is a lush and vibrant land teeming with life. Its forests are dense and untamed, home to exotic flora and fauna. Streams and waterfalls crisscross the landscape, creating a haven for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Many who go to the Verdant Vale, only travel so far into the dense forests, as deep within are tribes of people who have claimed their territories far from the governing cities of Aurteriia. Strange and horrifying creatures are known to lurk the uninhabited areas.

The Mystara Vale

In this vale, magic flows freely as this Vale lies upon the strongest Mysts in the land. The Mystweavers Guild headquarters resides here where ancient arcane secrets are waiting to be unraveled. It's a place where sorcery and mysticism intertwine, and where wizards, mages and others who want the art of the arcane seek knowledge and power.

The Frostfell Vale

This vale is locked in perpetual winter, with snow-capped mountains and icy plains stretching as far as the eye can see. It's a harsh and unforgiving land, where only the hardiest creatures and adventurers can survive. Villages dot the border but the lands within are uninhabited.

The Echo Vale

The Echoing Vale is known for its mystical echoes that reverberate through its caverns and valleys. It's a realm of echoes and whispers, where sound takes on a life of its own, and where secrets buried deep within the earth are said to be heard by those who listen closely. This Vale is uninhabited and many venture through this Vale in a spiritual quest. This land is uninhabited.

The Wild Vale

The largest, most vast Vale in Aurteriia spanning the majority of the mainland. With multitudes of villiages and farmland framing the area, this vale is teeming with various species of animals who graze and hunt throughout. The Wild Vale is home to Aurteriia's largest lake.

The Guilded Vale

This vale is one expansive cluster of cities and home to Aurathea, the capitol city of Aurathen. Named "The City of the Golden Trees" Aurathea is home to a species of trees that have shimmering golden leaves that never wither.

The Sundered Vale

In this vale, time seems to stand still, and the passage of years is but a distant memory. It's a place where ancient ruins lie untouched by the ravages of time, and where the spirits of the past linger in the air. The Sundered Vale is a land scarred by ancient conflicts and cataclysms. Its rugged terrain is marked by deep ravines and jagged cliffs, serving as a reminder of the battles that once raged across its surface. This vale is shrouded in darkness, with deep chasms and bottomless pits that seem to lead into the very heart of the earth. It's a realm of mystery and danger, where ancient horrors lurk in the shadows. Deep within these lands lies the The Empyrean, a mysterious place where skies crackle with lightning, and its earth pulses with the raw energy of creation. It's a place where the boundaries between the material and the ethereal are blurred, and where magic flows like a river. This Vale in uninhabited.

 

The Astrum Vale

This vale is the highest point in Aurteriia as it is literally a mass of land floating above the other Vales. It is known for its connection to the heavens, where celestial phenomena such as star showers and lunar eclipses are frequent occurrences and are celebrated. This realm is heavily influenced by cosmic activity. Their seasons are not based upon the land, but rather the cosmos. It's a realm imbued with cosmic energy and inhabited by celestial beings.

The Sapphire Keys

Safaia
Safaia, the heart of the Saphire Keys, is a lush, tropical island known for its dense jungles, cascading waterfalls, and serene lagoons. Once the center of elemental magic, the island's grand marble temple remains a symbol of hope and reverence.

Ribi
Ribi, the volcanic island, is characterized by its rugged terrain, active geysers, and hot springs. The inhabitants harness the power of fire. The sturdy stone temple built into the central volcano stands as a testament to their strength and resilience.

Daiya
Daiya, the serene water island, features clear lakes, meandering rivers, and gentle hills covered in lush vegetation. The people to wield the power of water. The island's beautiful temple by the largest lake is a tranquil haven for reflection and healing.

Oparu
Oparu, the wind-swept island, boasts high cliffs, open plains, and resilient vegetation. The inhabitants manipulate the air. The tall, airy temple on the highest cliff, with its melodic wind chimes, inspires freedom and creativity.

Onikisu
Onikisu, the rocky island of earth, is rich with caves, cliffs, and dense forests. The people here harness the power of earth. The solid dark stone temple, intertwined with roots and vines, represents the island's stability and grounding strength.
