The group is sought out by Eiink who has a quest for them, assisting a local farmer to dispose of a creature that has been preying on his livestock. Upon talking to the farmer and investigating the area, they are led to a cave. In it, they find a litter of pups belonging to a mutated winter wolf, who is ready to protect her cubs. Convincing the wolf that they mean no harm to her cubs, they learn that her mutation was due to the experimentation of Dahaar, a one-eyed Khajiit that Nirius has been searching for for years. The wolf tells them that he can be found near Riften. Nirius explains to the rest of the group about the damage Dahaar and others had brought to his life. Svaela explains that she too knows Dahaar and his leader Drathyss, a Dunmer. They talk at length about this group and the potential danger that comes with looking for them. They decide to travel 4 days to Riften to find Dahaar and the rest of his nefarious group in an attempt to assist their friend Nirius.
