Svaela leads the group to a secret location to meet her contact, just outside of Riften in a well hidden cave. They settle in one of the large rooms at a large table with Ra'Ginn a small Khajiit, and leader of the Theives Guild. The group explains their need to find Dahaar, his leader Drathyss and any other member of his group. After some back and forth in an attempt to discover if each other were trustworthy, Ra'Ginn explains that Drathyss and his men had been members of the Thieves Guild. Drathyss, though he has been gone for two months along with three of his companions, had been known to have his eyes on Ra'Ginn's position in the Guild. He tells the group that Dahaar stayed behind and has been seen in the Guild less and less frequently. He has been known to hang around a local cave, and the group decides to go after him. Svaela excuses herself near the end of the meeting, with Nirius going after her. He finds her further in the caves, in a large cavernous section with three large stone pedestals facing a larger center pedestal. She appears to be meditating, and after which Nirius expresses his thanks to her in getting him this far. She then tells him that she will accompany him as far as she can willingly go, though there may be a point where she will need to step back. Ra'Ginn finds them and tells Svaela that his dreams have been increasing. Svaela expresses that maybe they can find their third.
The group heads to the cave finding nothing but mutilated bodies of bears, wolves, goblins and gnolls in one area. Pressing further into the cave, the are attacked by three Dark Mantles before finding multiple cages filled with mutated gnolls. They find a room with equipment, potions, tools and notes about how Dahaar is building an army to assist his master, Drathyss, in taking over the Thieves Guild. Ra'Ginn is angered. As they are leaving and making plans on what their next steps are, Dahaar enters the room. A fight ensues. With no hope of gaining any further information from Dahaar, Nirius presses his blade in an attempt to kill him. His mind is filled with a familiar voice that tells him to "remove himself." He stumbles back as the group disposes of Dahaar.
