C1 Session 38: Farwells to the Fallen and Friends

Standing in the middle of the field somewhere in Cyrodiil, the party gathers themselves after what just happened as Thaarnvursos takes Eaniik to the Spire. Ridil asks Lannister how they knew to come here. He explains that they have been flying around all of Tamriel when they saw an Anchor appear a few hundred miles away from where they were. He tells them they are just outside of Kvatch, which Ephyra knows is southwestern Cyrodiil. Ra'Giin asks Lannister how long they have been gone. He tells them that two months have passed since they left. Ra'Giin contacts Vredik and asks him if he can come to him. Moments later, Vredik appears before Ra'Giin after the air around him shifted, a constellation appeared, and a purple haze brought him through. They decide that they need to get Nirius' body to take to Valenwood for burial. Ephyra casts Teleportation Circle to transport everyone to Alinor in Summerset. Sixx explains that his job here with the group is over, and that he must begin his journey to Blackmarsh. They say their goodbyes and express to Sixx their appreciation.

Once there, the Mages escort them to the floor within the guild that they had originally had to rest before being taken to Coldharbour. They find it just how they left it, their belongings in tact. Nirius' body has been rewrapped in higher quality cloth and flowers and laid upon a table set in the center of the common area, surrounded by candles. Svaela suggests they bury him near a waterfall, as that is how he said goodbye to his friend who fell at the hand of Drathis. They all rest and in the morning, Izmar opens a portal to Twin Falls Rest in Greeshade, Valenwood.

The build a pyre near the waterfall and place Nirius' body upon it. Ra'Giin casts conjure fire and sets it ablaze. They stand and watch the body of their friend burn, his ashes catching on the wind and returning to the land.

Sixx

After leaving his friends, he spends weeks and weeks traveling to Blackmarsh. He searches for Nizana, asking people, gathering information, and eventually gathers enough information to travel to Soulrest. He seeks out the house he is told she lives in. In his hesitation, he hangs back behind the trees. As he gathers his courage, a beautiful Dunmer, Nizana comes out of the house followed by two small children. She turns back and calls to another, and a Dunmer man joins them. Sixx realizes that Nizana has moved on with her life. He lowers his hood, turns away and leaves.

He considers seeking out Ra'Giin to work with him, deciding that maybe it is time for him to move on. A strange feeling of being watched comes over him, but he shrugs it off and continues forward, deciding to contact Ra'Giin. During a rest while journeying back, he is attacked, as a crossbow bolt slices through his throat. As he lays there, bleeding out, his spirit leaves his body and another is there to meet him. Sovo D'Vixx, his adoptive mother, has been waiting for him.

Ephyra

Ephyra and Izmar left Valenwood together. Not wanting to see his parents, Izmar did not accompany her when she visited her family for a time to rest and decide who she was and what she was to do next. She visited the Bard's College in Solitude frequently, writing her adventures for Lannister to perform songs and plays for the people. She eventually says goodbye to Lannister, grateful for the time she had with him.

Ephyra sought out adventures on her own, visiting Solitude and giving Lannister plenty of writings for his songs and performances. In her adventures throughout the years, Ephyra met another, whom eventually she fell in love with and settled down, starting a family together.

Ra'Giin

After Nirius' funeral, Ra'Giin sincerely thanks his friends for the adventures, telling them that they have become more than family. He strikes out on his own, traveling through Elsweyr to visit the spots in his childhood that helped to form who he is today. The place his family was attacked, the tomb where he first learned to cast magic. Eventually, he returns to Vredik in Windhelm, expressing that he still would like to see him.

Returning to Riften, Ra'Giin spends years restoring the Thieves Guild back to its former glory, traveling with Vredik and having his own adventures with him. After 25 years, he changes his name from 'leader thief", to "master thief" Ri'Giin.

Near the end of his life, he tells Vredik that he does not want to die, and as long as he follows, he does not intend to. Vredik tells him he would follow him anywhere. Ri'Giin shows him a demi plane he has created filled with two sarcophagi, gold and treasures. He casts clone on Vredik after taking some of his skin.

He retires from the Sky's Oath, visiting Ephyra in her final days, learning of Sixx, and sending letters and items to the Spire for Ridil and Svaela.

Once his days end, he opens his eyes in his younger, cloned body. Over and over, traveling, learning, for centuries.

Ridil and Svaela

After the funeral of Nirius, Ridil approaches Svaela and offers to have her return with him to the Spire, to train with him and learn the ways of stilling the mind and finding peace. She agrees to go with him as she feels lost, having spent the majority of her life at the command of Drathis. They travel through Cryodiil, where he tells Svaela that this is the city where he is from. She learns from him, learns to still and calm her mind of the grief and trauma she has experienced over the years. They bond and form a strong friendship filled with trust.

Over a year passes, Ridil asks her if she is okay as he feels something is off with her. She confirms that she still grieves Drathis. She does not believe him to be evil, just made mistakes on his way towards his goals and visions. He only wanted equality and to rid the land of the mistreatment of the Dunmer. She fears her love for him exceeds her morals.

He takes her back to his home in Cryodiil, to a place that was abandoned near another that appeared to be burned and collapsed in. She stays with him, spending time together in his childhood home. After falling asleep, she is awoken by chanting. In her curiosity, she steps outside to find The Shroud, surrounding the home. Ridil comes forward and tells her everything is okay. Two men bring a casket and lay it in front of Ridil. He opens it, and inside Svaela can see the body of Drathis. Ridil tells her she is destined for great things. Svaela asks her friend how this could be. He describes how well her friends trusted him, especially with the disposal of the body of their "enemy." He describes how her friend Sal, in his ignorance and blind trust, passed off the job of tossing Drathis into the lava in the Spire. He describes how, instead of destroying Drathis within Red Mountain, he hid his body. Ridil tells Svaela that Drathis is needed.

Another member of the Shroud drags a Stormcloak, beaten and bloodied and bound to Ridil. He asks Svaela what she would do for love. He asks her if she would kill for love. Svaela looks at Drathis, and without hesitation, takes a snake like dagger from Ridil's hands. He asks her "would you so kindly remove him?"

She slits the throat of the Stormcloak as Ridil looks to the sky and says "He is pleased with you..."
